The Founders:
Jolt CPR was founded by Cherry Eustace and Julie Evans in 2009. They felt that they could provide the important skill of CPR to the greater community and decided to offer classes to the public. Their thought was that if just one person saved a life using the skills they taught, it would all be worth it! Now Jolt CPR has been offering expert training in life-saving skills for over 12 years. In 2021, Cherry and Julie made the decision to sell their Business to previous clients, Q & Emily Rothing.

Changing Times:
With Julie getting a promotion at her day job and being relocated to Hawaii, and Cherry wanting to actually retire, the two decided to list Jolt CPR for sale in late fall of 2021. It didn’t take long for one of Jolt’s former students, Q Rothing, to reach out and ultimately make an offer on the business. Cherry and Julie immediately took Q, and his wife Emily, under their wing and began bringing them up to speed on the workings of the business so that they could provide the same high quality training that Jolt CPR had been known for in the Gallatin Valley.
Cherry and Julie are excited to be passing the torch to the Rothings and feel they will be a great fit for the business and the community.
New Owners:
Q and Emily are a husband & wife team that has a passion for providing important training to their community and surrounding area. They are excited to carry on Jolt’s excellent reputation as well as continue to improve every aspect of the training they provide.

Q is a born and bred Montanan who grew up outside of Belgrade on a small ranch. Out of high school, he became a state and nationally licensed EMT and began serving on the Big Sky volunteer ski patrol, where he encountered Jolt CPR for the first time. His first season working with the ski patrol made him realize he really enjoyed EMS and serving the community in that way, so the following summer he joined the Fort Ellis Fire Department. Q continued to serve with those organizations for a number of years before he and Emily had to move to Washington for a few years. After returning to Montana, Q began looking at ways to get back into the EMS community and serve his neighbors, that is when he found Jolt CPR for sale and felt like it was fate.

Although Emily grew up in Oregon, she visited her family every year in Montana and couldn’t get enough of the beautiful state. So when it came time to choose a college, MSU was an easy choice. While at MSU, Emily met Q, they got married, and she graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Health & Human Performance. With an interest in human anatomy and physiology and desire to learn more about the healing capabilities of movement, Emily completed a Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Eastern Washington University. After moving back to Montana, she has enjoyed working as a physical therapist close to home, using her expertise to serve her local community. Emily uses her knowledge of the human body to help people live better lives, making Jolt CPR a great fit. She enjoys training fellow healthcare providers in Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association.

Some amazing instructors have joined Jolt CPR over the years. We look forward to continuing to make the Gallatin Valley and surrounding areas safer and more knowledgeable about First Aid & CPR.

Caroline moved to Montana in 2022 after graduating from Boston University, where she studied Health Science and competed as a Division I rower. She now works as an EMT on the ambulance in Bozeman and loves being part of her local community. When she’s not on shift or teaching classes with Jolt, you can find her skijoring, trail running, or spending time with her dog. Caroline is on track to become a Physician Assistant and is passionate about helping others feel confident in emergency situations.

Originally from South Florida, Victoria attended Dartmouth College and lived in Boston before moving to Montana in 2025. At Dartmouth, she earned her B.A. in Neuroscience. Victoria is a certified EMT, Wilderness First Responder, and Red Cross Instructor. She has a particular interest in risk management and backcountry care. When she is not teaching for Jolt CPR, she can be found guiding fly-fishing trips on the Gallatin River or working as a veterinary assistant at a local mixed-animal practice. Victoria likes to spend her free time in the outdoors, often fly-fishing, hiking, or skiing. She is happy to find that Montana is never in short supply of ways to stay active.
